Restaurants from the WORLD

Indian

Hawaiian

There are so many “International restaurants” in Shizuoka. I can’t put all the restaurants here on this page, so I picked some of best places that I wanna recommend! I hope you can find some places you can go when you miss food back home!

Indian Food (RAJ PALACE)
indian, curry, nan, shizuoka, japan, international, restaurant, food,RAJ PALACE is one of my favorite Indian restaurants. And you know why I picked this place out of all the Indian restaurants in the city? Well, because this is the only restaurant that is run by “Indian” guy! There’s a sign outside of their door that says so. Then, who cooks at the other Indian restaurants? (I guess it’s like Japanese restaurants in America run by some Asian people.lol)

Anyway, their food are authentic and so great. And they have so many different kinds of combos to choose from. Although, they kind of look the same, but each combo has different combinations, so take a careful look at them. English menus are available. If you get confused by those numerous combo menus, just ask the Indian guy. He’s really nice and friendly, and seems like he’s always working on the new menus. So just ask him. By the way, I love their “chick pea curry”. They are located just on the way to Nihondaira.

Hawaiian (ALOHA TABLE)

hawaii, shizuoka, japan, international, restaurant, food, aloha,ALOHA TABLE is a Hawaiian restaurants who has other branches in Waikiki,Tokyo, Nagoya, and some other places in Japan. And there’s one in “Denbill” in Shizuoka.(It’s on the corner of big intersection, so you won’t miss it.)

They are on the second floor and it’s a wide open space restaurant. Windows are open and you can feel a breeze as if you are at the beach in Hawaii…On the menu, they have Locomoco, Lomilomi salmon and all kinds of Hawaiian foods. I really like their plate menu, the foods all come on one plate. Enjoy your Hawaiian food and this relaxing atmosphere. Time goes  by slowly here…

I think “SHISEN HANTEN” serves literally the BEST Mapo Tofu in Shizuoka!! They are an authentic Chinese restaurant located in Nakajiyama hotel. Japanese nice hotels never serve anything bad. So trust me, they make great Chinese food. And I believe that they cook kind of Japaneasy way. I mean, in a good way.

During the lunch time, they have great specials like the one in the pic. I had Mapo Tofu combo comes with bowl of salad, soup, rice, and a dessert! Even though their foods are really authentic, they are pretty reasonable. This combo is about 1,300 yen. I love spicy food, so I asked them to cook it spicy. If you pay extra 100 yen, you get to have it really really spicy!

Even during weekdays, people lineup to get in. But don’t worry, you don’t really have to wait because it’s a big restaurant. I heard that they have buffet as well, but in the different restaurant.(not at SHISEN HANTEN, but some other restaurants in this hotel.)
